meet Dr. Marfori

Originally from Toms River, New Jersey, Dr. Michael P. Marfori knew at an early age that dentistry was in his future. From high school, he was accepted into an intensive seven-year joint college/dental school program. He completed three years of undergraduate studies at Villanova University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He attended dental school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers), earning a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.

After graduation from dental school, Dr. Marfori entered a general practice residency at Miami Children's Hospital in Miami, Florida. Working extensively on pediatric cases, Dr. Marfori was greatly inspired to continue his training to become specialized in pediatric dentistry. He then completed a two-year pediatric residency program at the University of Florida.

In 1997, Dr. Marfori opened his pediatric dental practice in Hunter's Creek. Managing a thriving career and a growing family, he completed accredited training and a thorough examination process to attain board certification with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Marfori is pleased to be able to provide dental care and education to children in the Greater Orlando area. He feels truly fortunate to be a part of such a growing and dynamic community. When not in the office, Dr. Marfori enjoys spending his time with his wife, three children, cute dog and occasionally his golf clubs!

meet Dr. Khalaj

Dr. Mona Khalaj is a board-certified pediatric dentist who is passionate about creating positive, stress-free dental experiences for children. She believes in the power of prevention, education, and a gentle approach to help every child feel comfortable and confident at the dentist.

Dr. Mona earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Nova Southeastern University and completed a General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center. She continued her advanced pediatric training with a fellowship at The Ohio State University and a pediatric dental residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.

With years of experience in both public health and private pediatric practices, Dr. Mona takes pride in delivering personalized care that supports healthy smiles—and happy visits—for kids of all ages.

When she’s not in the office, Dr. Mona enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family and their dog, DogterAston.
